Staying at a campsite during the European Championships offers several advantages. Firstly, it's a cost-effective accommodation option compared to hotels or rental properties. Secondly, campgrounds provide a close proximity to nature, allowing visitors to enjoy the outdoors while still being near the tournament venues. Additionally, the communal atmosphere of campsites fosters a sense of community among football fans from different countries.

Campsites also offer flexibility in accommodation options, catering to various preferences such as bringing your own tent, renting a caravan, or staying in a pre-pitched tent. Furthermore, many campsites near event locations provide convenient amenities like on-site facilities and access to nearby shops and restaurants. Overall, staying at a campsite during the European Championships can offer a unique and memorable experience, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in the tournament atmosphere while enjoying the outdoors.

Unfortunately, the choice of campsites and motorhome pitches in Stuttgart is limited. If you want to use this solution, you may have to spend the night outside the city centre. Nevertheless, there are a few pitches from which you can quickly reach the stadium and the city.

Camping & motorhome pitches at the Cannstatter Wasen

The campsite at Cannstatter Wasen is ideal for guests at the European Football Championships, as the site is located directly opposite the stadium. The permanent Cannstatter Wasen campsite offers around 50 tent pitches and around 120 additional pitches for coaches, motorhomes and caravans. For the 2024 European Football Championships, the campsite will be extended by around 220 additional pitches, all of which will be equipped with electricity connections. Sanitary facilities such as toilets and showers will also be available within this fenced-off area. The site is equipped with the usual facilities for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The sanitary facilities offer a high level of comfort. There is also a wash house with washing machines and dryers as well as a food and newspaper kiosk. The on-site bistro offers a daily changing lunch menu.

Sonnenhof in Stuttgart-Mühlhausen

Farm animals, riding lessons, corn maze (starting July), water playgrounds and more make the camping adventure a special experience. For a particularly relaxing holiday, you can enjoy breakfast in the farm café.
